When you Need a Lot of Cards!

for a period of time I found myself more of a card maker than a card sender.

Anyone with me on that?

 

I still am somewhat of a slacker when it comes to card sending, but I do send cards to all those in my downline who sell over $1000 each month and all of my first level who promote.

And I have found what works best for me is to "pre-make" cards so that I always have a new set on hand each month.

these are the 2 I sent out in December to honor their November achievements:

 

I have a very clean and simple card making style and I am a LOVER of white on white

I am not telling you that you have to send cards to your downline, your customers, your family or friends.

But I will say that by spending a morning in the stamp studio creating a couple dozen cards each month I am able to add a smile, a feeling of recognition and appreciation to some pretty important people.

If you are going to do it, make it easy.

The sentiment of sending a card is far more important than sending a masterpiece.

A Great Card: Product Based and a Tip!

 one of the things I train my demos on is to make a card more focued on product than technique.

Why?

Because we can sell product ;)

by focusing on product you will see an increase in your sales

this quick card features one stamp set, which I love. Using one stamp set that includes images and words make it a great value for your customers.

I woould present it like this:

"I love this stamp set! My favorite part is that it includes images and a couple different sayings so it has a lot of bank for the buck. Most of my customers own this set for that reason alone"

 

No hard sell, but suggestive? You know it!

Because that is our job!

We need to make sure at the end of every event our customers have been led to their purchases rather than shown so much that they are overwhelmed

 

We also have a little"tip" included in this card.

don't think your customers "know it all", some basic little tips like this help establish you as the expert and build value for having YOU as their demo.

By sticking that little saying to a post it note it makes it so much easier to shorten the length of the punch by punching it again

A last minute Christmas Card AND class for January

a last minute Christmas Card that will be perfect to tuck into the orders from your customers in these last few weeks of the year

What I love about this for demos is that we can use up scraps of holiday paper, or paper that won't be current come January.

Happy Halloween! Petal Cone treats to the rescue!

Good morning friends!  Happy Halloween to you all!

In need of a last minute treat?  Late last night I decided to bring in something for all my classmates and here is what I came up with!

Now- a disclaimer!  If you remember Lisa had need of every little bit of Halloween supplies, stamps and whatnot- I was really excited to find this paper in my stash- and even though it is retired- I am sure the kids here at school won't mind!

I grabbed the Big Shot and the Petal Cone die and set to work- 45 minutes later I had 50 of these cuties ready to go!  

 I let the Designer Series Paper do all the work for me- These treats are made with just one die cut- folded over and sealed at the seam.  Then I popped in Tootsie Roll Lolly pops- who doesn't love those?

I also found a Halloween stamp that Lisa missed!  It is from the Delightful Dozen set and was the perfect size to adorn these cones.

Have a spooky good time tonight- but do watch out for sugar overload!

No cutting deets today- all you need is the Big Shot, Petal cone die, the Modern Label punch and some Halloween designer series paper!

It's Almost time for Joyous Celebrations!

I am so excited to share this card with you all today!

What's so special about it? Well, besides it being beautiful -I found a new trick!

This is Whisper White paper-  Not Shimmery White card stock!  I embossed the piece using the Snow Flurries folder and wanted to make the snowflakes pop a bit more-

So I grabbed my Illuminate Glimmer ink pad and using the oldest tool known to mankind- my finger- I painted the ink onto the card stock.

So we have the shimmering background and the flat spaces inside the snowflakes are still plain white- and that is how such great dimension was achieved on this card!

You can see this shadowing better in this shot- as well as the bling the Rhinestone Jewels add!

So give this a try for yourself- I am planning on trying this on some dark color card stock next!

I stamped all my images with the stamp set Joyous Celebrations- a very versitle set- great for making cards, gift packaging and even gift tags- You will have a lot of fun with this one!

French Foliage- Autumn Perfection!

I had so much fun making this card!  I just couldn't wait to share it with you all!

Love those leaves!  Don't they look so real?  Hopefully I fooled you!

They are really easy to make- here's how:

Stamp the french foliage leaf onto More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake card stock.

Trim them out with paper snips...

Run them through the crimper a few times or crumple them by hand- careful!  they are delicate at this stage...

Now peel each leaf apart so you have two layers... just like when you make those flowers we use so much around here!  Adhere them with an Antique brad and you are ready to go!

The rest was basic stamping mojo!  Of course I found a reason to use an embossing folder- no surprise there!  The Woodgrain folder lends just the right touch for this fall card.

I also wanted to point out that I folded the end of the sentiment layer under the designer series paper.  

It is hard to see in the photos but it gives a hmmm, how do I want to say this?  I guess a more luxurious feel to the card!
